How It Works

The two-shaft shredder operates on a slow-speed, high-torque principle. Two horizontally mounted shafts rotate in opposite directions, drawing material into the cutting chamber and subjecting it to powerful shearing, tearing, and crushing forces between the interlocking blade stacks. This low-speed operation typically between 15 to 80 RPM generates exceptional mechanical advantage without the excessive noise, heat, or dust associated with high-speed cutting machines.

Unlike four-shaft models, twin-shaft shredders generally operate without a fixed sizing screen, producing a coarser, more variable output particle making them ideal as a primary reduction stage or for applications where a defined fine particle size is not required.
